Hot water pressure washers offer a number of advantages over other types of pressure washers. Hot water pressure washers can raise the water temperature from about 53 degrees to as much as 311 degrees! This drastically decreases your cleaning time and the amount of cleaning product that needs to be used.

There are three different key elements to a hot water pressure washer – heat, agitation, and soap.

Heat, creates a molecular action that causes the cleaning solution to be more active so it can effectively penetrate dirt, grime, & grease more easily.

Agitation is the impact that comes from the amount of water and pressure hitting the surface you are cleaning.

Soap or detergent chemically breaks the bond between dirt and grime and the surface. Oil and grease attaches itself to dirt and keeps it trapped or bound to the surface. Detergents use softening agents that emulsify the oil and grease. The dirt then is carried away with the mixture of oil, grease, and water.

Hot water can soften caked on oil and grease, significantly improving cleaning time and making it easier to remove. Most grease and oil can easily be removed with only hot water, so you’ll end up using a lot less detergent – or no detergent at all! With the combination of steam and pressure, even the most stubborn dirt and grime can be loosened.

Another perk of using hot water is that the drying time is much faster. Heated surfaces tend to dry more quickly. In practice, this means that you can reduce cleaning times by up to 35% with better than average results.

There is also a big reduction in germs and bacteria with the use of hot water pressure washers. For many hygiene requirements, the germ reduction from the hot water alone is more than enough.

Although the cost of a hot water pressure washer is generally a little higher, it can save you a lot of time, money, and energy in the end.
